ICIM PZH
Single-impeller centrifugal pump entirely in AISI 304 stainless steel and the 2-pole self-ventilated asynchronous motor with internal ventilation.
Thanks to the material's peculiarity, it is suitable for damp and saline environments, domestic pressurisation, small-scale garden irrigations, washing, water treatment, cooling towers and clean water handling in general.
The CD electric pump's components are obtained through the proven hydroforming process, which guarantees sturdiness, hydraulic efficiency and reliability.
The hydroforming process uses a high-pressure fluid (up to 1200 bar) to form the metal.
The hydraulic fluid, in our case water, with increasing pressure pushes the stainless steel to copy the shapes of the template until it comes into contact with the internal walls of the matrix that forms the mould. Hydroforming, which combines the power of a press with the force of water, has significant advantages over traditional processes, namely:

• Perfectly smooth shape
• Highly smooth running
• No welding points

These features ensure high corrosion resistance, high efficiency with performance of over 80% and low leakage.
Thanks to their small size, they can also be positioned in narrow or difficult to reach spaces.

What kind of liquid can I pump with the CD centrifugal pump?

Thanks to the design features and to the various technical combinations that are available, the CD centrifugal pump is designed so that is can use clean water and various kinds of liquids. Contact our Technical Customer Service for information on specific application areas.

Regarding the CD centrifugal pump, can I extend the power cord without causing technical problems or affecting the warranty?

Yes, anyhow this operation has to be carried out by a specialised technician or at an authorised EBARA Service Centre. This avoids improper connections that can adversely affect the pump’s correct operation and/or the safety of the installation.

What is the difference between a single impeller and twin impeller pump?

A twin impeller version’s performance is better in terms of head, while the flow rate remains the same.

When should a CD centrifugal pump be chosen as an alternative to a CDX(L) centrifugal pump?

The CD centrifugal pump is more suitable for applications that need special care for the hygiene of the environment where the pump is fitted. The motor part is almost entirely made of AISI 304 stainless steel, this makes the external cleaning of the pump and of the motor easier.

Which are the applications the CD centrifugal pump can be used for?

The CD centrifugal pump is ideal when used for domestic pressure boosting, garden irrigation, washing, and when handling clean water in general. Thanks to its design features it can be used in many other fields, including the industrial sector and with various kinds of liquids. Contact our Technical Customer Service for information on specific application areas.

What is the noise level of the CD centrifugal pump?

The noise level of the CD centrifugal pump is <70 dB at a one metre distance

Which is the fluid's maximum allowed temperature for the CD centrifugal pump?

For the standard version the temperature range is 60°C – 90°C according to the model.
The versions that are equipped with different mechanical seals can pump liquids up to 120°C.
Please check the pump’s technical documentation and instruction manual for the maximum allowed temperature limits according to the version.

How do I carry out the CD centrifugal pump's first start-up properly?

The first start-up requires the following operations:

  1. undo the hexagonal cap on top of the pump’s body;
  2. use a funnel to fill the pump with water until it overflows;
  3. screw the cap back on until it’s blocked, this prevents air to seep in.

Please make sure that there is nothing blocking the dip tube’s foot valve. Once these steps have been carried out, turn the switch on and off two or three times in order to check the pump’s operating conditions and its direction of rotation. Then start its continuous operation and gradually open the delivery gate. Please always refer to user and maintenance manual.

How do I check the CD centrifugal pump's direction of rotation?

  1. Start the pump for a for a few moments;
  2. Position yourself looking at the pump on the fan side (rear);
  3. Check if the fan is turning clockwise according to the sticker arrow on the fan cover.
